Health & Safety Gone Mad!
An original pantomime written by Barney Wells with original lyrics by Mark Norman & Barney Wells
It’s 1191 AD. Good King Richard is away and in his absence the cruel and greedy Sheriff and his henchmen hold power.
In Sherwood Forest, Whitwell, Robin Hood and his followers do what they can to ensure that the poor survive. This is the setting for an epic struggle between good and evil.
It’s also the setting for many breaches of the most basic health and safety protocols – messages sent by arrow, children fighting with sticks and turnips left uncovered and unrefrigerated.
What matters more and how might this story play out?
Will Robin succeed in enabling the oppressed to celebrate Christmas? Who is that strange visitor to the forest with a clipboard? Hold on to your safety hat, don’t lean back on your chair and let the story unfold…
