Would you like to join us in our production of Calendar Girls? Early auditions are being held for parts in this production which shows the spirit of a group of ordinary women faced with a problem and their novel way of solving it!   Auditions will be held on Sunday 11th March at 6 30pm and Monday 12th March at 8 pm 2012  in the Bailey Hawkins Room at the Whitwell Village Hall.  There are 9 female roles and 4 male roles for this play and we also need lots of help with all aspects of production.  We hope to see you there.

Calendar Girls will be performed on 4th 5th and 6th October.

Like a stain on the eiderdown of English history, the Blackadder family has been present at some of the greatest events in our nation’s past. We join their tale in the late 1400s, with Edmund Plantagenat, alias ‘The Black Adder’, the weasley ‘spare’ son of King Richard IV. En route to the dawn of the new millennium in 2000, we bump into Lords and Sirs of the dynasty including those from the times of King Charles I, Prince George in Regency England, the Captain Blackadder of World War I, and Elizabeth I’s favourite Lord.
